Working with Mark

Make it easier for a good prospect to take the next step

Review the page, the offer, and what happens when someone responds.

Sometimes a page needs a clearer headline or a simpler form. Sometimes the page is asking someone to make a commitment they’re not ready for. Those look similar in a conversion report, but they need different fixes.

I help you understand what’s getting in the way and make changes that improve the path from interest to a useful next step.

What is the visitor trying to do?

I review how people arrive, what the page tells them, and what it asks them to do. I also look at the inquiries or customers it produces, so we can understand whether the conversion you’re optimizing is helping the business.

A buyer researching a new category may need an example or explanation before a demo feels worthwhile. Someone comparing a shortlist may need implementation details or customer evidence. Putting the same call to action in front of both people can hide the difference.

At TrustRadius, my work connected audience and review generation, product engagement, and qualified pipeline. That experience is part of why I look beyond the form to the evaluation happening around it.

Choose a change worth making

The review can lead to changes in the offer, copy, page structure, proof, forms, or follow-up. Each recommendation names the visitor’s likely question, the part of the page that leaves it unanswered, and the proposed change. If someone can’t tell whether the product works with their existing tools, an integration example may be more useful than another prominent demo button.

We can use buyer conversations and qualitative feedback alongside behavioral data. If people misunderstand the product, we don’t have to wait for a large experiment to learn what they’re misunderstanding.

Check whether the change helped

When the volume supports an A/B test, we’ll define the question and how to evaluate the result before launch. With a smaller audience or a long buying cycle, we may need a different way to learn. I won’t call a handful of extra submissions a proven win.

We’ll keep an eye on the quality of the response too. More inquiries that sales can’t serve may create work without creating value.

A focused engagement gives you a page or journey review and prioritized changes. I can then help implement and evaluate them with your team, or stay involved as you improve more of the journey.
